apres l'épisode du warrior blade aka un gm tricheur...

Well I have kept my mouth shut for a while. But an incident last night set me off.

Let me set the stage here.

I used to be a volunteer guide for Verant and was with them for about 3 Months..

At which time I left because guides are nothing but the "meatshields" of Verant CS. Players asked for help we told them "sorry we can't" unless they had an unobtainable corpse...

Last night after over a year of playing EQ and from Beta 2 on I have finally turned in my Spells. I tell you this as it is important to the news I am about to impart in some way..

Two witnessed incidents of GMs showing player favoritism and out right cheating for players.

I am sharing these stories upon leaving EQ in hopes that they will force Verant to look into the issue of better tracking their employees missuse of their "God" or enhanced abilities. I know there are always going to be bad seeds. However when you track them and catch them make examples of them. Do not simply slap them on the wrist and move on.

Incident one: This one I have choked on for a long time however since I am leaving I want it off my chest.

I was guideing one night at about 12AM and got a petition from a player. They told me that someone was "hacking the client" and they were making themselves invinceable. I zoned down to the spot with another guide coming to witness and watched as two level 3 characters killed Kodiak after Kodiak(they seemed to be insta spawning)...They were not running out of mana and they were not getting hit. The message kept saying "they were invulnerable" yet they were casting right through their invulnerability(not even guides can do this much less players).

So one of the guides that was on duty logged out and got a GM. The GM came in and zoned down to where 4 guides stood talking to this so accused "hacker" and friend The GM told us all she had it under control and that we should all leave...This was after a few moments of talking.

Later with no word as to what had happened I sent a tell to the GM asking if help was needed. A tell was returned to me after I was constantly asking if we should be on the lookout for some new hack that this person was not in fact a hacker but an employee of Verant out side of the CS department. Supossedly this person did not even work directly with this particular game from what she told me.

Well you can imagine my shock... I am thinking "what is this person doing with this ability if they are not directly related to the game?"

Well aparently this employees was making themselves and a friend who was just a reguler joe like you and me invincible. Then the person was spawning Kodiaks and killing them time after time. Hehe yes I to was thinking "why not just buff yourself?" I do not know why...all I know is what happened

I was then told by the GM that that person would no longer be working at Verant...I suppose to calm me because I found out two days later that the person had simply been told not to do it again.

Incident 2:

This one really takes the cake and took place last night. This one is why I no longer play EQ

Let's set the stage for this one shall we.

Guides/GMs follow a manual called the CS Policies and procedures manual. This is seen by some as "the be all and end all of CS for Verant" However by some it is simply ignored.

One of the BIGGEST and most enforced rules on guides is this...It is also a question on the application to even get in the program.

It goes something like this

If you were a guide and playing with your play character and all your friends died and could not get their corpses what would you do?

Well the answer to this seems like a no brainer right? You would OF course not use your guide character to help(at the time you do not know that you are not even allowed to have a guide char and a play char on the same server)

Question 2 for setting the stage here. How many times have you played and died do to pathing or the summoning by a Mob that has pathed badly.

Then of those that say yes here how many have gotten resses and their corpses dragged by a GM?

Well their is a reason for this. Guides and GMs are told strictly in the PnP that THEY ARE NOT to pull corpses nor should they Res people that die due to a bug that they did not personally witness or can not confirm as the reason for death. In other words you never res people for these incidents.

Then knowing that Mobs teleport back either to the party fighting them or their spawn point when stuck or when they fall in a hole or water or lava or whatever..If this mob is able to summon guess what...If still aggroed it will summon you...Thus the "log" out calls you often hear on large runs.

Is this a bug...Nope..game is designed that way. So you say well it is something we all have to live with right? Well that all depends.

Keeping the above mentioned in mind think on the following.

GMs have characters on the test server that they are encourged to play with. They are told to do this because they should get a perspective of the game and know what is what..

These characters are like you and me...Buffed up a bit usually to level 45 to begin with. However they can die and aggro like normal...and much of their equipment is obtained by them fighting and getting it. So no biggie.

Then their is another form of GM character on test. These are characters that are buffed to level 60 Equipped with some of the best stuff in the game and stat buffed. Their aggro list is then set to neutral so that they can pick and choose monsters to test..Also no biggie..Test is for testing...

These are both Valid characters and valid reasons to have these characters. However refer to guide Rule #1...They should never be mixed...Sort of a mixing business with pleasure.

i.e. the regular GM chars roam the land make friends and play the game.

The "power" characters are used only to test and are not to be used to show favoritism to players nor play with regular characters. because as you all read in the Test server disclaimer...Test has no customer support. A GM will not drag your corpse or buff you or help you in any CS type way. Thus are the rules of the test server. The prior being why the test server was Item wiped.


Well anyway here goes.

I was fighting some Greater Kobolds in Sol B last night and was with one other friend. We were camping the SolA zone side...heh you know the spot. I started hearing the calls of the Firegiants as people started fighting them.

I sat there thinking cool someone is fighting the FGs. Well shortly there after the zone went from like 25 people to like 8 or 9 or something I was like uh oh they must have died.

Well when folks die on test we know we have no CS and so we help each other. It is kind of a code here. We make an effort to help people get their corpses and make sure they are ok. So I sent a tell to one of the high level players that had just been snuffed asking if they needed help. I was not in their guild or any guild for that matter...It is just a curtosy we try to show. I was only level 40 but figgured I may at least be able to help some.

The reply to my tell said "Don't worry we have it under control *grin*"

Well hmm...okay they were high level I fuggured they would just fight in nude or summon the corpses..So I pulled on thinking nothing of it for a bit.

Then As I passed the 4 way intersection to pull a Kob from the lava side I saw a person in Full Purple plate (no not the hate armor the Kunark armor) I thought that odd considering Trakanon has yet to be killed on test....

So I was wondering who this guy was...I did a /who all and hmm he does not show up....

Odd again.

It dawned on me that he must be pulling the corpses(not hard to figure out since one was following him) I was a bit miffed but oh well who really cares.

Well shortly thereafter /OOC came alive and it seemed to be an arguement between 2 guilds about what was going on. Aparently in a promise from Brad himself the GMs who do not have offical business on the test server had their avatar powers removed because they were doing things JUST LIKE THIS.

Well I just sat and listened...I will not mention names because well...I am just not like that but these people went back and forth about how this GM was breaking the rules and using a Buffed non aggro character to pull the corpses of some of his friends from the depths of the dungeon.

I will call them the "honest and the not so honest"

The not so honest were saying that the honest were feeling a "sour grapes" basically because they did not have GM friends. They said that they should be happy for them because they had someone to pull their corpses...

Well as a player of Production servers and knowing that Test has no CS...I was a bit miffed...I did not hear the rest of the arguement I zoned out logged off and cancelled my account...

To all those involved you should see who the real problem is...That GM should have NEVER did what he did he crossed a line and broke a promise made directly by Brad and Abashi.

One of the "honest" players said he had screen shots of the incident which I tried to obtain but he snubbed me telling me he would not give them out because they did not need to be a public thing... Well to you my friend BS...Those screen shots should be on every public board and sent to Verant. This is not a one time thing...I have witnessed two events myself like this...

If I a single player have witnessed this how many have I not seen? How many are much more clever in their favoritism?

To all of you production players that hear the TS players whine about not getting support...Not all of them are being honest...

Why fight for a CR when you can have it done for you...Why earn equipment when you can have it given to you...

No CS my big fat Troll butt.

Anyways...Enjoy EQ...I did for a time but if verant can not control their employees on a system that is easily trackable I really do not want to be penalized for not having the right friends...

One of the last things I heard one of the players say to the arguements that these Preferred player program members was

"You can polish a Turd"

Then I realized that for over a year I have been doing just that. Polishing a Turd...

Bye bye EQ

P.S. I found out later by grilling various people when I logged back in that the GM actully had his regular character with them and was playing with them.. They were then wiped out and so he logged in the "power" char pulled all their corpses and gave them the highest res. the game can offer...

Cool huh :-(

Zu welcher Zeit verließ I, weil Anleitungen nichts sind, aber die " meatshields " der CS-Spieler Verant, die um Hilfe wir gebeten wurden, ihnen erklärten, daß " traurig wir nicht " können, es sei denn sie hatten einen unobtainable Corpse..., Gestern Abend nachher über einem Jahr des Spielens von EQ und von Beta2, an, das ich schließlich mich in mein buchstabiere gedreht habe. Ich erkläre Ihnen dieses, da es zu den Nachrichten wichtig ist, die ich im BegriffBIN, um in irgendeiner Weise zuzuteilen. Zwei zeugten Ereignisse von GMs, das Spielerfavoritism zeigt und aus dem rechten Betrügen für Spieler. Ich teile diese Geschichten nach dem Lassen von EQ in den Hoffnungen, daß sie Verant erzwingen, um in die Ausgabe von ihr Angestelltmissuse ihres " Gottes " oder der erhöhten Fähigkeiten besser aufspüren zu schauen. Ich weiß, daß es immer falsche Startwerte für Zufallsgenerator geben werden. Jedoch, wenn Sie sie aufspüren und sie abfangen, bilden Sie Beispiele von ihnen. Nicht schlagen Sie sie einfach auf dem Handgelenk und bewegen Sie sich an. Ereignis eins: Dieses, das ich auf für eine lange Zeit jedoch erdrosselt habe, da ich verlassend ich wünsche es weg von meinem Kasten bin. Ich guideing eine Nacht an ungefähr 1ÀM und erhielt eine Petition von einem Spieler. Sie erklärten mir, daß jemand " den Klienten " zerhackte und sie invinceable sich bildeten. Ich zonte unten zum Punkt mit einer anderen Anleitung, die kommt zu zeugen und überwachte, während zwei Zeichen der Stufe 3 Kodiak beendeten, nachdem Kodiak(they schien, instaspawning) zu sein..., das sie nicht aus mana heraus laufen ließen und sie nicht geschlagen erhielten. Die Meldung, die sagend " sie gehalten wurde, waren " invulnerable, dennoch warfen sie nach rechts durch ihre Anleitungen des invulnerability(not sogar können dieses weniger Spieler viel tun). So ein der Anleitungen, das auf Aufgabe war, protokollierte heraus und erhielt ein GR.. Das GR. kam herein und zonte unten zu, wo 4 Anleitungen standen, sprechend mit diesem, also beschuldigte " Hacker " und Freund das GR. erklärte uns, daß allen sie es unter Steuerung hatte und das wir aller Urlaub..., dieses nach einigen Momenten der Unterhaltung waren. Später ohne Wort hinsichtlich was geschehen war, schickte ich erklären zum GR...

Sto ripartendo queste storia sul lasciare EQ nelle speranze che forzeranno Verant per esaminare l' emissione più meglio di inseguimento del loro missuse degli impiegati del loro " dio " o delle abilità aumentate. So che sta andando sempre essere semi difettosi. Tuttavia quando li rintracciate e li interferite fare gli esempi di loro. Non schiaffeggiarli semplicemente sul polso e non passare. Avvenimento uno: Questo che mi sono soffocato su a lungo tuttavia poiché sono andando io lo desidero fuori della mia cassa. Guideing una notte a circa 1ÀM ed ho ottenuto una petizione da un giocatore. Mi hanno detto che qualcuno " stesse incidendo il cliente " e stavano rendendosi invinceable. Ho suddiviso in zone giù al punto con un' altra guida che viene testimoniare e guardato come due caratteri del Livello 3 ha ucciso Kodiak dopo che Kodiak(they sembrasse essere spawning) di insta... che non stavano funzionando dal mana e non stavano ottenendo colpiti. Il messaggio continuato a dire " erano invulnerable " tuttavia stavano lanciando a destra attraverso le loro guide del invulnerability(not persino possono fare questo molto meno giocatori). Così uno delle guide che era in servizio annotato fuori ed ottenuto un GM. Il GM è entrato ed ha suddiviso in zone giù a dove 4 guide levate in piedi comunicanti con questa così accusano " il hacker " e l' amico Il GM ci ha detto che tutto esso sotto controllo e quello tutto il permesso... questo eravamo dopo alcuni momenti di comunicazione. Più successivamente senza la parola quanto che cosa era accaduto all' ho trasmesso un di al GM che chiedo se

L'évier a mis à jour à ma écluse de bouche pendant un moment. Mais un événement la nuit passée l'a réglé dehors. Lasciarlo régulier la phase ici. J'étais un guide volontaire pour Verant et étais avec eux pendant approximativement 3 mois. Alors il est allé parce que les guides ne sont rien mais " les meatshields " des joueurs du CS de Verant nous ont demandés à aide qu'ils ont dit que l'" spiacente nous ne pourrions pas moins " ce ils a eu un cadavre impossible pour obtenir... La nuit a glissé ensuite en un an du jeu de l'cEq et de bêtas 2 au-dessus de cela finalement j'ai tourné dans mon ortografo. Je dis que ceci à vous le poichè est important pour les nouvelles que je suis approximativement en règle communiquant d'une voie sûre. Deux ont témoigné les événements de GMs qui extension le favoritism du joueur et vers l'extérieur juste à l'escroquerie pour les joueurs. Je partage cette histoire sur laisser EQ dans les espoirs qui forceront Verant afin d'examiner l'émission meilleure que la poursuite d'eux missuse des employés de leur " Dieu " ou des capacités accrues. Je sais que ce va toujours être les graines défectueuses. Cependant une fois tracé leur et gêné elles pour faire les exemples d'eux. Schiaffeggiarli simplement sur le poignet et. Événement un: Ceci au lequel est suffoqué à moi en fonction le long du cependant puisqu'est allant je je le souhaitent en dehors de de mon cas. Par conséquent un des guides qui étaient en service a annoté dehors et a obtenu un GM GM est entré et subd
